OUR STORY

BackStage Sound was born from passion and purpose. We know how hard it can be to find a clean, safe, and inspiring space to create. That’s why we set out to build something different, a purpose-built hub designed to meet the real needs of musicians across Newcastle, The Hunter and Lake Macquarie.

Every room has been thoughtfully designed with comfort and creativity in mind, featuring professional-grade equipment, sound-treated spaces, and a modern aesthetic that feels as good as it sounds.

But BackStage Sound is more than a rehearsal studio, it’s a community. A place where artists, teachers, and students can connect, collaborate, and grow together. Whether you’re rehearsing for your next gig, teaching your next class, or chasing your next creative spark, you’ll find the tools, inspiration, and support you need right here.

Built by people who love music, for people who live music, BackStage Sound is where the Hunter’s next generation of music comes to life.

 COMMUNITY

BackStage Sound is built on connection. We believe the best music scenes grow when people share, support, and show up for each other.

That’s why our space is about more than just rehearsal rooms, it’s about creating a place where local talent can meet, collaborate, and build lasting relationships.

We’re here to bring together musicians, teachers, students, and music lovers who all share one thing in common, a passion for making and celebrating live music.

By opening our doors to the community, we’re helping shape a stronger, more connected creative culture across Newcastle and Maitland.
